Frequently Asked Questions
Is payment through this site secure?
Yes, payment is through Stripe via credit card, or you can choose to pay via PayPal. It is absolutely secure. I know, however, that buying through an independent site for the first time can be a bit nerve-wracking, so if you have any questions, do contact me. I promise that an actual human being (me) will respond to you as soon as possible.
What happens if there’s a problem?
If there is a problem with your delivery, if the painting is damaged in transit or if you change your mind, contact me as soon as you can and we can resolve whatever the problem is. If you change your mind about owning one of my paintings, I’m not going to force you to hang it on your wall regardless, so I will organise a refund within the usual 14 days grace period. In the event that you change your mind, I’d just ask that you wrap the painting up as carefully as it was packaged when you received it, and that you pay the return shipping. Your refund will be processed when the painting arrives back with me.
How soon will I get my artwork?
Ok, this is not Amazon Prime, so if you’re buying for a special date that’s coming up really soon, do let me know. As you’ll see from my blog about framing, the process of having a frame custom-made for each work happens after the sale and takes around 4 weeks. The painting is shipped as soon as this is finished. Meanwhile I will keep you updated with shipping and delivery dates.
How much is shipping to the UK?
UK shipping is included in the cost of your painting. The price of the painting includes professional framing, packing and shipping, so there are no nasty surprises during checkout.
I use an excellent professional picture framer in Exeter, Devon who packs the paintings securely. Smaller products such as cards and prints are priced to take UK shipping into account.
Can I suggest framing preferences?
If you have just purchased an original painting or are teetering on the edge of doing so and want a certain type of frame, do contact me and let me know straight away. The process of framing the work is taken very seriously and frames are chosen with great care to best display the painting, but I appreciate that’s no good if it’s going to clash hideously with your curtains. Framing materials are generally fairly neutral, so if you have no clear ideas about frame choice, don’t worry. Leave it to me and my wonderful frame maker. If you are interested in buying a painting unframed, contact me first so I can advise and adjust the price for you.
How much is shipping worldwide?
Worldwide shipping to any country outside the UK is £65 (that’s around 80 US dollars). Please select the US and worldwide shipping option at checkout. This cost is per order, not per item.
