About Johanna McWeeney
“Johanna’s work is evocative in the extreme.
Her paintings of the coast are simple expressions of delight.”
Devon Life Magazine, January 2017
Johanna’s work explores ideas of potential, creative expression and colour. Painting becomes a cathartic and complimentary opposite to the exacting demands of perfectionism, a time to be childlike and adventurous. She builds on technique as a means of expression not an abstract framework. Favourite artists include Rose Hilton and David Hockney.
